Female titles compared to male titles
Women by their nature are more verbose and verbal. Have you seen the books we read? They are thick romances. Women talk more than men. This is not a stereotype, but rather a fact that has to do with the biology of a woman’s brain. Their Wernike’s and Broca’s areas of the brain are actually denser pack with more complex neural connections, generally. I think for evolutionary purposes women are more verbal because they have traditionally conveyed language and culture to the next generation. This is why we have the expression “Mother Tongue”
What does this have to do with having a outstanding blog, ranking high in Google and making money online? Everything.
Look at the titles women use in their blog. For example, one might be “what my husband taught me about being a full-time Mommy and having a good blog so I can stay at home and be with my kids.” Men on other other hand will write “Easy Money online” or just jam it with keywords. See the difference? Women are wordy and describe, men goal oriented and a little greedy. Both are bad titles. A title should be a little ying and yang. “Make money online – One Mommy’s system” It has keywords but also written for humans.
Female blogsĀ and male blogs who they are different
Ok Lets talk about your body. I am not talking about female body vs male body, I am talking about your blog’s body. A woman’s blog body often has long rambling paragraph and no headers. A man’s blog filled with headers and again stuffed with keywords throughout the text.
Matt Cutts from Google has said you do not need to pack your post with keywords as Google’s algorithm at this point if they see one in the title and pretty permalink and maybe in the text once or twice does a good job in understanding the nature of the text. The Einstein’s at Google have designed the algorithm to be based on Semantic content.
Therefore, if we take a female post and make it a little more focused and a male blog post a little more natural and flowing, I think this is an optimal blog. It is the yin and yang of writing. It is balancing the two sides of your brain. This will not only make you appeal to both genders and double your reach but it is also about being more interesting.
I personally feel Google is more female. It likes more diverse patterns on your blog, not cookie cutter. It likes pictures as well as guides. Google is a woman and needs a balanced approach not a male linear approach to blogging. Men tend to be mechanical, women tend to just write. Maybe that is a cliche. But it is a metaphor. The web is starting to favor natural over mechanical.
